This house was built for the owners of a riding stables on a family farm. It has simple, strong forms and refined details, and a presence and finish that belies its modest construction cost. The interior is formed with open flowing spaces, with a double height kitchen at the heart of the house. There are two bedrooms and bathrooms and a large loft. All of the rooms have framed, different views of the farm, stables, and Cotswolds beyond. The building uses reclaimed stone from the farm, and softwood cladding. It is also highly insulated and low maintenance.
